Mr Corman cancelled after one season on Apple TV+

The series reportedly didn't receive the kind of viewing figures necessary for a season 2.

Apple TV+’s comedy-drama Mr Corman will not return for a second season.

While the platform doesn’t release its viewing figures, sources have told the Hollywood Reporter that it didn’t manage to attract a large enough audience to justify a renewal.

Created by and starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, the show follows his titular elementary school teacher after a painful break-up as he realises that he’s not going to fulfil his dream of music stardom.

Debra Winger, Arturo Castro, Debra Winger, Bobby Hall, Jamie Chung, Juno Temple, Alexander Jo, Hector Hernandez and Shannon Woodward round out the rest of the main cast.

Gordon also wrote and directed much of the A24 produced series alongside Aurora Guerrero, Bruce Eric Kaplan, Roja Gashtili, Julia Lerman and Rosa Handelman.

Mr Corman is only the second TV series that Apple has cancelled following its decision to axe musical comedy Little Voice starring singer Sara Bareilles in August.

You can stream the first and only season of Mr Corman on Apple TV+ now.
