HBO exploring Six Feet Under revival

Nothing is really known about the potential series including whether it would be a reboot or a follow up.

HBO is in the early stages of developing a new Six Feet Under series.

Nothing’s been officially greenlit but the US network has ordered a script to be developed.

Original creator Alan Ball is onboard the project along with executive producers Bob Greenlatt and David Janollari.

A firm concept has also not yet been decided upon meaning we don’t know whether it’s a prequel, a sequel or a total reboot.

Running for five seasons between 2001 and 2005, Six Feet Under follows the dysfunctional Fisher family as they operate a funeral home in Los Angeles.

Peter Krause, Michael C. Hall, Frances Conroy, Lauren Ambrose, Freddy Rodriguez, Matthew St. Patrick and Rachel Griffiths all star.

It received critical acclaim all throughout its time on air and its finale is widely considered to be one of the best of all time.

Ball is also currently working on another revival of one of his shows hit vampire drama True Blood for HBO.

All five seasons of Six Feet Under are available to stream on NOW
