Killing Eve's Jodie Comer to star in new HBO drama

Big Swiss will see her character Flavia become entangled in an obsessive relationship with a patient.

Killing Eve’s Jodie Comer is to star in a new limited series at HBO titled Big Swiss

She’ll play a woman named Flavia living in the city of Hudson, New York who begins anonymously transcribing sex therapy sessions.

She starts to become obsessed with one of the patients, a fixation which soon leads to an “obsessive, explosive relationship” beginning between the two.

This series will serve as an adaptation of Jen Beagin’s upcoming novel of the same name which is due to be published later this year.

Don’t Look Up’s Adam McKay will serve as an executive producer through his company Hyperobject Industries alongside A24 who’re known for acclaimed films like Uncut Gems, Midsommar, The Green Knight and Moonlight.

The network won the rights to Big Swiss after a fierce bidding war which reportedly involved 14 different participants.

This will be Comer’s first major TV role after hit spy drama Killing Eve which is currently airing its fourth and final season on BBC One.

She won an Emmy for her role as flamboyant Russian assassin Villanelle in 2019 and has been nominated a further two times alongside co-star Sandra Oh.
