Football on Sky Sports
The festive season means only one thing in the Premier League - fixture congestion!
No breaks for the teams or players, this is the period when things shift. Some teams will fly while others will falter. It may not be fun for them, but sure is exciting for us as viewers!
With 100 Premier League festive fixtures over the next two months, we’re in for a treat this Christmas!
Aberdeen vs Celtic | Wednesday 4th December at 8pm | Sky Sports Main Event & Football
It’s not just Premier League football that’s in the spotlight this month. The two at the top of the Scottish Premiership will go head-to-head early in the month, with the hosts looking to end Celtic's unbeaten and highly impressive start to the season while taking a step closer to dethroning the reigning champions.
Manchester City vs Manchester United | Sunday 15th December at 4:30pm | Sky Sports Main Event & Premier League
One of the most famous rivalries in world football couldn’t come around at a better time for the red side of Manchester.
City are currently struggling for form while United could be in the midst of the fabled new manager energy. Could there be another upset at the Etihad on the cards?
Tottenham vs Manchester United | Thursday 19th December at 8pm | Sky Sports Main Event & Football
It’s not just Premier League football that will be played as League Cup action will also take place during the month, with the feature game of the quarter-finals seeing Spurs take on the Red Devils.
Both sides will surely be looking at the opportunity to win some silverware and will be hopeful of their chances should they get through this matchup.
Formula 1 on Sky Sports
The Formula 1 season draws to a close this month, which means three months of darkness for many.
Fortunately, there is still one more race to go, and there is still one championship that is left to be decided.
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix | Friday 6th - Sunday 8th December | Sky Sports Formula 1 HD
The final race of this exciting season is here, and while the Drivers’ Championship has been decided, the Constructors is still up for grabs.
There will also be the conclusion to the hotly-contested Formula 2 season, with a champion there still yet to be crowned.
Cricket on Sky Sports
With winter upon us, the cricket season is largely over now, so there aren't any fixtures on Sky Sports worth shouting about this month.
Golf on Sky Sports
It may come as no shock to anyone but the winter period isn’t exactly golf season. The main tours are over and done with for the year, ready to go again next year.
Although, there is one tournament on the PGA Tour that is played yearly in a much sunnier location.
Hero World Challenge | Thursday 5th - Sunday 8th December | Sky Sports Main Event & Golf
Hosted by the icon of golf Tiger Woods, the Hero World Challenge tournament returns for its ninth-straight season, the exclusive select field of elite players ready to battle it out at Albany Golf Course in The Bahamas.
Headlined by world number one and 2024 FedEx Cup champion Scottie Scheffler, the field will contain 20 over the top 40 ranked players in the world, including 2023 US Open champion Wyndham Clark and the fast-rising Swede of Ludvig Aberg.
Tennis on Sky Sports
The ATP and WTA seasons are finished for the year, and while there are a couple standalone tournaments to be played, there’s nothing really too substantial to tune in for.
Live action on Sky Sports
World Darts Championship | 15th December - 3rd January 2025 | Sky Sports Main Event
The biggest tournament on the PDC darts calendar will begin this month. Last year seemingly caught everyone’s attention, no thanks to a certain 16-year-old.
Luke ‘The Nuke’ will be heading into this year’s tournament as one of the favourites and will certainly bring the nation's attention with him once again. The question is, will he be able to go one step further this year and win the whole thing?
Fury vs Usyk 2 | Saturday 21st December | Sky Sports Box Office
The most anticipated rematch of 2024, Oleksandr Usyk is set to defend his WBO, WBC and WBA heavyweight titles against the man he beat for the belts earlier in the year, Tyson Fury.
The full card will feature multiple fights that are sure to excite dedicated boxing fans, but the main event will be the one to watch.
