July will be a dream packed full with a stellar line-up of events. 

From the high-speed thrills of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone to the gripping England vs. India Test series, and the British & Irish Lions' tour in Australia, there's no shortage of action. 

Golf enthusiasts can look forward to the Scottish Open and The Open Championship, while football fans won't want to miss the Premier League Summer Series.

Here's what you can look forward to on Sky Sports in July.

Football on Sky Sports

The dark days of the off season nears its end with Premier League clubs back in action towards the end of the month, albeit not in the most interesting competition and certainly not at a convenient time.

Regardless, football is returning this July with the Premier League Summer Series based in the US, and here’s what we can look forward to:

Formula 1 on Sky Sports

July will mark the half-way point of the season during the 12th Round at Silverstone. It will be one of only two races during the month, but with the other being the Belgian Grand Prix, it is truly a month for the F1 traditionalist, with two of the most historic circuits offering up the thrills.

British Grand Prix | Friday 4th - Sunday 6th | Sky Sports F1 HD

The British fans are amongst some of the most passionate, and with the hometown favourite Lando Norris flying after a dominant Austrian Grand Prix, expectations are high for him to deliver in front of the adoring masses.

Belgian Grand Prix | Friday 25th - Sunday 27th | Sky Sports F1 HD

Spa-Francorchamps will host the third Sprint weekend of the year, providing more excitement across all three days.

Lewis Hamilton’s best performances so far with Ferrari have come during the previous two Sprints, with a win and a podium. Could he keep up that stellar form, and maybe even translate it into his first Grand Prix victory with Ferrari?

Cricket on Sky Sports

England Men’s vs India Men’s Test series | Wednesday 2nd July - Monday 4th August | Sky Sports Main Event & Cricket

India’s tour of England continues with the remaining four Tests of series coming during July.

The first Test was a sensational showdown, with the home side coming away with the victory at Headingley. The series now heads to Edgbaston, a venue where India have failed to in at in eight tries. Can they finalise break their duck, or will England claim a large foothold on the series?

  • 3rd Test: Thursday 10th - Monday 14th
  • 4th Test: Wednesday 23rd - Sunday 27th
  • 5th Test: Thursday 31st July - Monday 4th August

England Women vs India Women | Saturday 28th June - Tuesday 22nd July | Sky Sports Main Event & Cricket

It’s not just the men who will be in action for both England and India. The women are currently competing in their own series, starting with five T20Is then into three ODIs.

One T20I is already down, with the visitors handing England their heaviest defeat ever in the format.

T20 Blast | Sky Sports Main Event, Cricket, Mix & Sky Sports+

The T20 Blast campaigns carry on throughout July, with the women’s competition coming to an end later in the month.

The men’s won’t see the final until September but the last of the regular season games will come in July. Be sure to tune in, with Sky Sports regularly showing fixtures throughout the month.

Golf on Sky Sports

July will see golf’s most historic major taking place for the 153rd time, with The Open providing the last opportunity for players to grab major glory.

Genesis Scottish Open | Thursday 10th - Sunday 13th | Sky Sports Main Event & Golf

As usual, the Scottish Open will provide many of the players the chance to get used to links golf in the UK before competing for the claret jug the following weekend.

With much of the competition hailing from or having competed in the US for most of their career, getting as much practice on a very different style of course to what they’re usually used to is important if they want to properly challenge at The Open.

The Open Championship | Thursday 17th - Sunday 20th July | Sky Sports Main Event & Golf

The big one, and the last one of the year. The Open will close major season once again, and as always, it’s the one the whole field wants to win.

Royal Portrush in County Antrim, Northern Ireland will be the battleground, the third time the course has hosted the tournament.

Tennis on Sky Sports

Following the conclusion of Wimbledon and thus of grass season, the tours will head for tournaments primarily on the other side of the atlantic as the players prepare for the final Grand Slam of the year with some hard-hitting hard court action.

WTA & ATP Tour 500 Washington | 21st - 27th July | Sky Sports Tennis

The Washington Open will see some big names competing in both the men’s and women’s competition - no surprise that the majority of them will be American.

World Matchplay Darts | Saturday 19th - Sunday 27th | Sky Sports Main Event, Action & Sky Sports+

As one-third of the coveted Triple Crown, the World Matchplay is a major event on the PDC calendar. Darts’ biggest star of the moment Luke Littler needs only this tournament victory to become just the fifth player to achieve the PDC Triple Crown for his career and would become the youngest player to ever achieve this feat.

Betfred Super League | Sky Sports+

The Super League rolls on, with more exciting matches set to take place during the month. Will Hull KR be able to keep up their sensational form?

Netball Super League Grand Final | Sunday 6th July at 5pm | Sky Sports+

The finale of the relaunched Netball Super League will go down this month, with London Pulse and Loughborough Lightning seeking glory.
