How to watch 2026/27 Premier League season

Sky Sports and TNT Sports will once again be the only places to watch Premier League football in the UK this season.

The pair will share the duties as they have done for many years now, with Sky taking on the bigger load.

Premier League on Sky Sports

The 2025/26 campaign saw Sky Sports expand their coverage from 128 matches to 218 live matches, and you'll be pleased to know that has continued into this year.

Coverage will feature the biggest head-to-head clashes, Sunday double-headers, and key fixtures across the title race, European qualification, and relegation battle.

Sky’s broadcast team will deliver in-depth analysis, pre-match build-up, and post-match reaction for every televised game. Expect the usual slate of fan favourites to be part of the coverage this season, such as Roy Keane, Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards.

Sky Sports subscribers can watch via the Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Main Event channels, as well as on the move with the Sky Sports app, where you’ll find a plethora of Sky Sports+ streams, which will house many of the EFL fixtures plus lot’s more live sport.

If you’re not already with Sky, you can get signed up in time for the campaign by choosing a pre-made Sky Sports package deal. If you are but don’t have Sky Sports part of your existing Sky TV package, you can add it on. You can choose between a 31-day rolling contract or an 18-month contract.

Premier League on TNT Sports

TNT Sports will also play a major role in this season’s coverage, broadcasting 52 live Premier League matches, including exclusive Saturday 12:30pm kick-offs and select midweek fixtures.

Viewers can watch through TNT Sports channels on TV or stream via the discovery+ app. For existing customers of BT/EE TV, you can add TNT Sports on to your existing package.

Arsenal finally ended their Prem title drought as Mikel Arteta proved he is capable guiding his side to the promise land. They even reached their first Champions League final since 2006, although just like that night in Paris, they weren't able to get the job done.

It was a monumental year for English teams in the European competitions. While Arsenal failed to claim the top prize, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace brough glory to their trophy cabinets as they won the Europa League and Conference League respectively.

The biggest surprise of the year came from Sunderland, who impressed all season long and ended up finishing seventh, meaning just three years on from finishing 16th in the Championship, the Black Cats will be playing Europa League football this season.

Down at the bottom of the table, just one of the promoted sides failed to retain their Prem status for another year. Burnley faced the drop once again, making it their third relegation in five years.

They were joined by Wolves, who for a large part seemed destined for an even worse finish than Southampton the year before them, and West Ham, who's fall from Conference League winners just three years ago has been devastating to the club.

The 2026/27 season’s start will begin with some tasty affairs, including a potential giant killing in the campaign's opener and an intriguing Super Sunday slate.

2026/27 Premier League: Key transfers

This summer has seen some mega moves so far, and for once it's not just Chelsea spending big on every young player under the sun.

That said, they did break the English transfer record when they brought in Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa for a staggering £117m.

A record which was set just a week after Man City had beaten the previous tally when they signed Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for £116m.

Newcastle's midfield has been gutted as they saw both Sandro Tonali and now more recently Bruno Guimaraes both depart for North London, the latter joining the reigning champs while the former becoming part of the Lilywhites.

Speaking of, Tottenham are no doubt aiming for a much stronger season then their two consecutive near drops. Their strategy - buy a bunch of players who had fairly decent 25/26 campaigns.

This move has so far seen them acquire the aforementioned Tonali along with: Mateus Fernandes from West Ham for £85m, Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton for £52m, Marcos Senesi from Bournemouth for free, an aged Andy Robertson from Liverpool also for free, and a ripe Martin Dubravka from Burnley once again for free.
