Sky Sports launching a new dedicated tennis channel

24/7 tennis content with exclusive live coverage of tour events.

A new channel has been added to Sky Sports’ list as they have introduced their new dedicated tennis channel.

The move follows the deal made in November last year that saw Sky Sports acquire the broadcasting rights to the ATP and WTA tours for the next five years.

The deal will see Sky Sports broadcast ‘more live tennis than anywhere else,’ as they say, with over 4000 matches from more than 80 tournaments yearly, including full coverage of the US Open and all other tour events exclusively live.

Sky Sports Tennis will follow the likes of Sky Sports F1 and Golf, with round-the-clock tennis content to keep fans in the loop and entertained.

New broadcasting team

Along with the new channel, each of the biggest events on the tour's calendars will be expertly analysed by some well-known faces in the tennis world, including six-time Grand Slam semi-finalist Tim Henman and Olympic silver medalist Laura Robson.

Gigi Salmon, a prominent figure in the British tennis journalism and broadcasting scene, will be the lead presenter during events, while the memorable voice of Jonathan Overend will take control of commentary.

Various other guests are set to be featured throughout the year, potentially similar to how Australia’s Nick Kyrgios starred in the commentary booth during the 2024 Australian Open.

Launching in February

Sky Sports Tennis is set to launch on 11th February on channel 408, but will move permanently to channel 407 on 13th February (channel numbers for Sky platforms).

Coverage will begin with the ATP Tour ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam, Netherlands, running from 12th - 18th February, as well as the WTA Tour Qatar TotalEnergies Open 2024 in Doha, Qatar, from 11th - 17th February.
