Another Life cancelled by Netflix after two seasons
Both outings unfortunately received negative reviews from critics.
Netflix has cancelled its original sci-fi series Another Life after two seasons.
Star Katee Sackhoff broke the news on Twitter yesterday thanking fans for having watched the show and those who’ve offered support.
I’d like to thank everyone single person who watched & supported Another Life on @netflix To our crew & cast thank you for always working so hard & being prepared. I wish we could do more seasons but sadly it’s just not in the cards 🚀 See you on the next adventure ❤️ Love Niko

Created by Aaron Martin, who also developed the horror anthology Slasher, Another Life follows veteran astronaut Captain Niko Breckinridge (Sackhoff) and her crew aboard the spaceship Salvare.
After a mysterious alien artefact crash lands on earth and grows a huge crystalline tower, they’re sent to try and establish contact with those who sent it.
Alongside Sackhoff the rest of its main cast includes Justin Chatwin, Samuel Anderson, Blu Hunt, A.J. Rivera, Jake Abel, Alexander Eling, JayR Tinaco, Selma Blair, Elizabeth Ludlow, Tongayi Chirisa and Dillion Case.
Its first ten episode season premiered in 2019 to mostly negative reviews but due to delays related to the COVID-19 pandemic, its second season didn’t hit Netflix until October 2021.
While plenty of other shows have suffered similar delays and still been a hit, this long stretch of time between seasons won’t have done much to keep its buzz alive.
You can stream both seasons of Another Life on Netflix now.
