Fallout series given an official release date

A good way to honour Fallout Day…

Prime Video has announced the official release date of the eagerly anticipated Fallout series - 12th April 2024.

The announcement was made via the Fallout on Prime Twitter/X page, which was also launched as part of the announcement, and comes on the 26th anniversary of Fallout Day*,

It was done as a video in the style of an interactive Pip-boy that is used in the games, displaying first an ominous message that then gives way to the series’ famous mascot Vault boy.

Fallout is a very popular video game series so fans of the games are excitedly awaiting the series, as recently studios are churning out great adaptations of other popular games, such as The Last of Us and Twisted Metal.

The series is developed by Westworld duo Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan and will star Walton Goggins (The Hateful Eight), Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets), Kyle MacLachlan (Twin Peaks) and more.

*Fallout Day is the day that commemorates the date when the Great War that kicks off the events of Fallout happened. 23rd October 2077 is the date, to be precise, so not quite to the year.
