An epic British Grand Prix concluded with a feel-good result as Sir Lewis Hamilton ended his 2.5 year race win drought.

Silverstone is famous for providing showstopping races and this year’s edition certainly will go down as one of the best, with five drivers at one point vying for victory.

In the end, the seven-time world champion showed his unteachable quality and experience, winning his ninth British Grand Prix to break the record for most wins at a single Grand Prix, a record he previously shared with fellow seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher (eight win at French Grand Prix), and also himself (eight wins at Hungarian Grand Prix).

A sixth race winner of the season shows promise for the rest of the year, with now Mercedes certainly in the fight with Red Bull (or more just Max Verstappen) and McLaren.

Sticking with some F1 news, Brad Pitt’s previously unnamed Formula 1 movie has been given a title - F1. Not confusing at all.

The film has been using a lot of practical elements in its filming, including an F2 car made to look like an F1 car which has actually featured on the grid before races, along with Pitt and his costar Damson Idris appearing in the media pen post-race alongside the actual drivers are doing their interviews, confusing a lot of people in the process.

Alongside the name, the movie has also been given a first action-packed teaser trailer, which you can watch above, as well as a scheduled release date of 25th June 2025.

WWE legend and and future Hall of Famer John Cena announced his upcoming retirement from in-ring competition in 2025.

The wrestler-turned-Hollywood-actor made a surprise appearances at WWE’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view - sorry, Premium Live Event, as they call it - over the weekend to make the heartbreaking yet unsurprising announcement.

It won’t be a ‘one last match at Wrestlemania’ deal, though, as Cena stressed that he intends to work multiple dates throughout the year, starting in January with the Royal Rumble and as the WWE heads onto Netflix, and ending in December.

As one of the greatest and most accomplished WWE Superstars of all time, a final farewell tour is the least that the 16-time world champion deserves, and the run is sure to produce many unforgettable moments.

An extra $106.9m came internationally to give it a very respectable $229.5m worldwide so far.

Credit still has to be given to Inside Out 2 though, as it claimed second place, bringing in another $30m domestically. It now has reached over $1.2bn worldwide, likely making it 2024’s biggest release of the year.
