How to watch the 2025 NFL season in the UK

The road to the Super Bowl begins…

A new NFL season is upon us, bringing the hard-hitting action to our screens every week right up until February.

With the first game of the new campaign kicking off later this week, we’re taking a look at the season ahead, providing the needed information to keep you informed, including how to watch the 2025 NFL season in the UK.

How to watch NFL in the UK

Sky Sports is the home of the NFL in the UK, having been so since 1995, and shortly before the start of the latest campaign it was announced that the pairs’ partnership has not only been extended, but has been expanded starting this coming season.

Sky have had the first pick on Sunday games at 6pm and at 9pm, but now they will be given a second choice for games at both times. Along with all London and Europe games being broadcast live, this represents a near 50% increase in the total live games.

As well as the live games, which also includes all Thursday and Monday Night Football, you’ll be able to tune into NFL Red Zone on Sundays, which goes between all the live games so you’re always watching the action.

NFL on Sky Sports

Sky Sports being the only place to watch the NFL in the UK means you’ll need to be sorted with an applicable Sky Sports subscription.

Don’t forget, Sky Sports has a lot more to offer than just the NFL, with exclusive broadcasting rights to the EFL, Formula 1 and PGA Tour golf, plus the majority of Premier League football can be found on their channels.

Whether you’re a new or existing customer, there are various ways you can get the right subscription.

For existing customers, if you don’t already have Sky Sports but are interested in adding it to be able to watch the NFL and/or any of the other sports on offer, you can simply add it to your existing Sky TV package via a 24-month contract (paid monthly) or a 31-day rolling contract (cancel any time).

For new customers or Sky customers without Sky TV, you can get a great package deal that provides everything you’d need. In this case, you’d want one that includes Sky Sports, but if you were looking to switch broadband providers as well, there are packages that put them all together.

Better yet, oftentimes you’ll find great deals on the Sky Sports packages, providing great value for money! Be sure to check out the Sky deals available here on Digital TV.

If you’re with a different TV provider, you may still be able to gain access to Sky TV, including Sky Sports.

Sky Sports on NOW TV

NOW TV offers a Sports Membership that gives you full access to Sky Sports for the duration of your membership.

With NOW TV, you can choose between the Day Membership and the Flexible Month Membership.

The Day Membership speaks for itself, granting access to the 12 Sky Sports channels for 24 hours as a one-off purchase.

The Flexible Month Membership is a 31-day rolling membership with no contract that allows you to cancel whenever you’d like.

Sky Sports on BT & Virgin Media

Both BT and Virgin Media have several packages that include Sky Sports or it can be added to a package.

For existing customers without it, you can also add it whenever you’d like on a 31-day rolling contract.

2025 NFL season preview

The 2025 season is poised to provide plenty of high-octane action, high-stakes competition and gripping storylines.

After a Super Bowl to remember, the Philadelphia Eagles will for sure be the ones to beat - and there are plenty of sides lining up to knock them down.

At the front on the line will no doubt be the side they humiliated in the big game, the Kansas City Chiefs, who will want to get back to their winning ways.

But it won’t be so easy in the stacked AFC, with the likes of the Buffalo Bills - led by last year’s MVP Josh Allen - Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and maybe even the Pittsburgh Steelers, now led by all-time great Aaron Rodgers, all aiming to reach the top of the mountain.

The same can be said over on the NFC side. The Eagles will face stern competition, firstly in their division then in the conference.

Jayden Daniels showed he had what it takes to be a leader, taking his Washington Commanders all the way to the NFC Championship game. But the Dallas Cowboys, also in the NFC East, know their time is running short.

Elsewhere, the Detroit Lions and their conference-best 15-2 record will aim to rebound and make a push following the return of star defender Aidan Hutchinson.

In truth, several teams could surprise the league this season. Maybe the most under-the-radar side being the New England Patriots, who under new head coach Mike Vrabel and with rookie QB Drake Maye developing well, will hope to rise steadily.

Players to Watch: Veterans and Rookies Alike

On the veteran front, keep an eye on Josh Allen, who continues to lead the Bills’ potent offense toward a potential championship, as will 2023 MVP Lamar Jackson who is in a similar position. Aaron Rodgers will also headline headlines as he looks to rejuvenate the Steelers before calling it a career.

Rookie talent is poised to ignite the league early. Jayden Daniels of the Washington Commanders, the 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year, already has a historic season under his belt and figures to lead the team again. Travis Hunter (Jaguars) is not just poised to play - he's expected to excel at both offense and defense.

On the offensive side, Ashton Jeanty (running back) is generating serious momentum; analysts also spotlight Omarion Hampton, TreVeyon Henderson, RJ Harvey, and Kaleb Johnson as rookie backs ready to make an immediate splash.
