New details for Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Special

The Doctor Who 60th Anniversary Special is coming up very soon, and as such more and more details are coming to light about what and/or who will be there.

Most recently, iconic British actress Miriam Margolyes (Babe) has been announced to be included in the project, playing a new villainous character named Beep the Meep.

As well as that, a cryptic image from the BBC has left fans pondering if an old foe will also be making an appearance.

A picture tweeted from the Doctor Who Twitter (X) account showed a clown face, hinting at the return of a clown.

The Doctor has encountered villains who are closely related to clowns - The Toymaker from 1966 is rumoured to be coming back, with Neil Patrick Harris supposedly coming in for the role.

Time will tell who will be playing what in the special.

England rugby win again

England picked up another win in their second game of the Rugby World Cup, beating Japan 34-12. But despite the win, most outlets are not impressed by what they saw from the Red and Whites.

The scoreline may make it look as though it was an easy affair, but England made a meal out of the matchup, being up only by a single point before scoring three tries in the final 25 minutes to pad what many have called a ‘boring’ performance.

It was really summed up by how the second try was scored, with the ball bouncing off of Joe Marler’s head and into the path of captain Courtney Lawes who took the opportunity to score.

The last try scored gave England a bonus point for scoring four tries in a game, and ultimately, a win’s a win. Its one step closer to lifting the trophy, and while the performance could’ve been better, at least the results are coming.

One Piece season two officially confirmed

Netflix’s most recent big-hit show One Piece has been confirmed to be getting a season two.

The news follows the statements made from Tomorrow Studio CEO Marty Adelstein, who two weeks ago claimed the season two scripts were already written.

Filming isn’t expected to start anytime soon due to the ongoing strikes, but fans of the first season could still expect to see the next chapter of the live-action anime series quite possibly at the end of 2024 or beginning of 2025.

Red Bull’s perfect season over

Red Bull’s bid for a perfect season, seeing them win every race of in the calendar year, has ended after an amazing Singapore Grand Prix.

The constant dominant force this year has been able to handle everything thrown at them this year, but during the weekend in Marina Bay, neither Drivers’ Championship leader Max Verstappen nor his teammate Sergio Perez could control their car.

It led to the pair bowing out of Saturday’s qualifying session in Q2, meaning they didn’t even start in the top 10.

Despite fears that Verstappen would somehow find a way to win, he was never truly in contention for the win as the Carlos Sainz of Ferrari would go on to control the race, leading from start to finish and taking his second victory in Formula 1.

‘Lessons in Chemistry’ trailer dropped

Apple TV+ has dropped the first trailer for their highly-anticipated series Lessons in Chemistry.

Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) appears in her first starring role in a series in over a decade, playing the lead role of Elizabeth Zott.

The series is another of Apple’s book-adapted shows, taking the story from Bonnie Garmus’ novel of the same name from 2022.

The show was actually greenlit well before the book was released, with the initial reports of Larson signing on to the project coming in January 2021.
